  • Burning Bliss

    Burning Bliss

Burning bliss – A mind so bright that even her hair catches on fire. This sculpture was inspired by my own mind and thoughts. I have always been a day dreamer, sitting looking out the window in class or wanting to go to bed early, just to get lost in my own head. With that feeling of loving to imagine myself somewhere else, here she is with her hair in a calm but steady flame, symbolizing what warms and love I have for dreaming.

A fun first attempt to do a bit more with my sculptures. Here with the weight distribution are on two points that are on two different levels.  I was a bit worried that she would collapse with her top weight being pretty heavy for the torso to carry but it held up. She did sink a big but you can’t see that, so I’m very pleased.

  • Stalwart

    Stalwart

Stalwart – A steadfast and loyal protector. In the making of this sculpture, I wanted to create a figure with a interesting shape and aura, that could watch over once home from were they sat. with a lean and smooth body and a unique expression. I as the crafter, is very pleased with the final result with how they came alive in my hands.
